12 Joys & Struggles of Being a Romance Author
Being a writer comes with its fair share of weirdness, fun, and despair. Sharing a few of my own joys and struggles as a romance author, in gif form.
First, the struggles:
1. When your editor emails you ten days before a deadline asking how the rewrite is going and you are a mess:
2. When it's been two months since your book was released and you're still waiting for a book site to give you a review:
3. When your writing comes up at a family dinner and there's nothing but crickets:

6. When you realize you have to kill someone to advance the plot (I seriously wept many tears over one of the characters who died in my first novel):
The joys:
7. When you get a positive review.
8. When you've edited a love scene twenty times and you know it is damn good:
9. When someone says your love story gave them all the feels:
10. When you go down the research rabbit hole and come out the other side with a well of useful information:
11. When you create the most delectably irresistible hero:
12. When you finally give your couple their HEA and want to shout it to the rooftops:
